BEAUTY FOR JAPAN FUNDRAISER

With all the tragedy that has been going on in Japan,
there has been a number of people in Hawai‘i
who have been doing their part to help support
Japan in ways to raise money for relief aid.
Some on a larger scale than others.

A few months ago,
the day after the devastating tsunami hit Japan,
I was eager to find ways to help out,
especially since I have a personal connection
to the people there. I have been to
Japan many times. In fact,
a few of my best friends are from Japan.

I got together with a few of my closest friends
who had the same intentions & we immediately
took action in researching various
non-profit organizations who would
be of help to the victims, especially in the
locations that were hit the hardest.
We came up with a name for our team,

and on ways to donate.

We decided to support a non-profit called "Peace Winds Japan."
And we have been coming up with many different fundraisers
to raise funds for the organization, including bake sales,
selling shirts, coordinating events, and more.
Here's one event that our fashion team put together.

We offered an amazing 1 day only photo shoot
with hair & make up included
for a suggested & humble donation of only $50.

While people were waiting for their turn to
be made over, we encouraged people
to help us fold origami cranes
for model & professional surfer,
Angela Maki Vernon,
to take with her to gift to people in Japan.

We teamed up with the
Hawai‘i Fashion Incubator &

for the venue & promotions,

for hair & make up,

And Daniela Voicescu for photography.

Here are some of the final beauty shots taken by Daniela.

At the end of the night we raised $1,100!
We may not make millions to donate
as of right now, but we sure can do our part
to help support those who are not as fortunate as us.

Every little bit counts.

xoxo,
tT
